Given that you chaps were so helpful with that Plastic Fantastic James Brown Mix

Searching for another absolute belter but have a lot less to go on than last time.

Funky disco/house track with a Spanish Guitar hook.

Played in Turnmills on Friday night.

Utterly utterly utterly epic and quite simply MUST have it.

Anyone?

This is a longshot response for a man of your musical knowledge, but it wasn't Flashdance by Deep Dish was it?

Sounds like something familiar though, I'll have a think.

Possibly -

ARGENTINA by Jeremy Healy & Amos.

?

See below, I meant JAM & SPOON - Ride in the night. Probably wrong anyway!

Without ruining the thread.. another Dance Music longshot but Old Skool, that doubtless Plotless will probably know.. who did "Take me to insanity" in the very early 90's (could have been 89-90 actually).. similar sort of time as Playing with knives..? I've had it in my head all day !

Cheers muchly
Matt

Thirded. Still have it on vinyl.

What's Turnmills like nowadays? Is Trade still going?

Dunno about Trade, went on a Saturday a few months back, definately wasnt gay and was properly flip top head, not for me but the little room was utterly epic as usual.

We did The Gallery and its still the best Friday in London by an absolute mile, really friendly grown up crowd. My only critiscism is that they have let the male/female ratio slide and it was probably about 60/40 maybe even a bit more.

Cheers for the responses so far, got them all coming in as we speak.

I've got a mix of it somewhere with Moby's GO.. verry cool.

Sorry Plotless.. no idea on yours and I'm in danger of creating an Old skool thread out of your polite request

Cheers,
Matt.

Definately not Jam und Spoon.

Its the bells.

While we're at it, has anyone heard the Hoxton Wh*res' remix of 'Sunshine of my love'? Top tune.

Sorry, choooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

If there's an old skool thread in the offing, I'm all for it. Ah, such simplicity :tinkles the piano:

While you're on mood, get Sterling Voids mix of 'Its Alright' (PSB) on the turntable.

Volume 11 please.

Hoxton Whores?

Isnt that Weatherall?

To be honest, sounded a lot more tuneful than most of his recent releases.

Could have been a talented DJ and an old tune I suppose but it properly went off for pretty much the first time in the evening when he played it.
