How come kids are told to not take sweets from strangers, yet tonight they are allowed to roam free and get sweets from anyone. A pedofile's heaven.

oh, and is it wrong of me to go and egg a guys house who hates me?

am the only one that thinks that if you're gonna trick or treat, you have to put in at least a little effort? just putting your hoods up doesn't constitute a costume as far as I'm concerned.

i tried to convey this with the sentence "what have you come as? chavs?" and the little mites told me to off.

happy Halloween, y'all.

I thought that they wanted money rather than sweets these days...I swore one of them was carrying a POS CC machine attatched to a PDA..

Its chucking it down here in Reading, keeping the little oiks at bay

I had all the lights at the front off too, Mrs Puggit of course comes home and lights up the house like a Christmas Tree.

Well she can deal with the blighters then

Anyone ever tried just saying "trick" and seeing what happens?

Also, how come kids are coming to my door and just staring at me, not even bothering to say 'trick or treat!'. Its not like the old days....

We've had 2 lots so far - a group of drunk 12 year old girls who actually made an effort to dress up, and a couple of boys (13-14) who were in normal clothes with scream masks on - "Trick or treat mate" was the larger of the oik's greeting.

maaan, are we cowards. im 32, built like a brick privy, and yet im cowering in my house in the dark with the tv on silent for fear of being heard by 9 year olds in unconvincing witch masks. i darent even turn the heating on for fear theyll hear the boiler kick in.

The savvy little buggers would probably run to the child protection agency and report you for attempted solicitation of a minor.

Much better than egging your windows!
