So, I'm home from London for the weekend, and pulling onto the drive of the house, Dad says; "Oh yea, while you were gone someone stole one of the potted plants beside the drive!"

On Sunday night, 3.20am, two guys in an old Merc, pull up outside the house, walk in and take the plant. Pot and all! Into the boot and off they go! No-one noticed until Dad was looking out an upstairs window and saw the Merc pull up with a plant sticking out of the boot. "Hmmmm, nice choice. I've got..... WHAT THE!" The guys were taking our plant out of the boot? They put it down, broke the pot, and put it back in the boot. They then came in after it's twin, saw Dad and scarpered off. He went to give chase but by the time he was out in the car they were well gone.

Checking back on the camera, they were on the drive for about 20 minutes trying to get the pot out (it had rooted to the ground underneath), given up on one and took the other!

Has anyone seen my plant? And what the hell were they doing?

Not bothered calling the police, we just hope they leaf us alone.

LATEST....A man has been arrested tonight at the "Dog & Pikey" public house near the village of Stackton Tressle, when the suspect approached two elderley ladies and asked in hushed tones: "Do you want to buy some pots?

Dr Evadne Hinge and Dame Hilda Bracket (the two ladies in question) said: "We were very suspicious, so we telephoned the police."

The suspect is thought to be an off duty police officer: "The Plantar Faciitus clue was a dead giveaway" said a police spokesman...

Well that's just blooming ridiculous, two budding gardners turned tea leaves - just sounds barking mad. No doubt these pretty crimes will blossom into something more serious.

At least your old man twigged that there was something wrong and had those saps stumped when it came to taking the second.

I am really, really sorry
