I just had a pleasant experience in Argos :eek:
I only had to go for an £8 mains adaptor, and luckily there's a new slightly out of town shop in Reading with free parking. The town centre shop is on the wrong side of town and can only be described as chav-infested, with the surrounding streets a complete no-go zone for parking. Within 15 secs of pulling up a non-english speaker is sent in by Tony's Cronies to relieve you of £30.
So I pottered over to the new store, parked just outside, walked in, found the catalog, there were pens spare, filled out my form, took it to the quick pay, chipped and pinned...
...and within 60 secs my adaptor was there on the shelf behind the counter. Not only that but it was immediately picked up and my number was called.
Somebody pinch me :)
