Certain Items of Post has gone missing during the past two weeks and now today my post turns
up at 12.30 but even though each envelope is clearly marked with the Neighbours Numbers on them.
I receive mail for three other houses!

I mean.. how difficult is it to check the numbers !!!!???

Any one else have this problem ?

I feel the level of the Royal Mail Service has gone down during the past few years.

I'm quite certain our post is being stored somewhere, then turns up every 3rd day or so. Strange thing is I've noticed the postman is still visiting our street every day

I had the post for four of my neighbours last week. You have to walk down steps to get to our houses so the lazy ba$tard dumped the responsibility on me and the Mrs

Yes we live on a converted farm, there are 8 houses altogether, if the regular mail man is off, then the stand in leaves all the mail in my neighbours box, and she has to go around delivering it to the rest of us.

We have no sign granted, (someone nicked it???), but he manages to find the right farm and all the houses are marked with either their names or numbers.

Our regular postie is great, if he sees you going through the village and he has a package for you, he will stop you rather than take it back and make you go pick it up.

Make sure you complain about it, if you just drop it round to your neighbours without mentioning anything the Post Office will still be able to claim that their service is improving.

About once or twice a month we get post for the same number house on a road near us, our road names are very different. I've caught the postman after it happened once, and he couldn't offer any explanation. We get loads of red elastic bands with our post, so I'm assuming it get banded up at the post office incorrectly, or the postie is testing his own incompetence.

Makes a very pleasant change from the norm, although the Post Office is not the worst offender as at least you can go to a local post office to get your parcel. ParcelFarce, however, is much worse. I had an item on order from John Lewis Bristol last week which was sent out by ParcelFarce. Who, of course, care not a jot that people actually have to go to work and thus won't be there. So the parcel goes from Bristol to Chippenham and then back to Bristol again. I then have to go from Chippenham to their Bristol depot and back to get it.

Instead, I elect to have the item sent on to a local post office, at a cost of 50p. So I traipse into town on Saturday morning to find that ParcelFarce have forgotten to send it there. Total waste of everyone's time, energy and money.

Round our way the Post Office has been reorganising collections from postboxes and as a result many have been missed out in the rounds. How much mail is languishing in unopened pillarboxes around the country, I wonder?

Our regular postman is great. He only lives down the road, if he can't deliver something then he takes the parcel home with him and leaves a note to ring his mobile when you get in so he can bring it round!

i live in a block of flats, with 6 flats per doorway, we regularly get mail for other flats, as the sorting office is just accross the road i went up to complain, i went in asked for someone in authority as i had a complaint, but the chap on the counter said all complaints have to be in writing on a certain form, and he asked what the problem was.
i explained that the postman who delivers my mail must be a half blind numpty, and that he cant get the right mail in the right slot, and needs sacking!....he asked where i live, and when i told him, he visibly went red, and said thats me!
needlssly to say, its improved a lot since then!

Our postie is great but we only get one visit instead of two. So whilst the post used to arrive by 9.00am, it now turns up between 11 and 12 - when I'm often out so anything that needed to be signed for doesn't get delivered and I have to go and get it on my return.

Another Post Office service improvement, or should I say Adam Crozier Pension Fund improvement?

I find it incredibly annoying that our regular postman delivers junk mail 'hand delivered by royal mail'. I am on the mail preference register as well. Its disgusting!

Our regular postie is great. He's been working the same area for 12 years now. He's normally on time every day and, as far as I can tell, never messed up our mail in the 3 1/2 years we've been there.
When he goes on holiday though the stand ins can hardly find the place.
