OK, so there I was with my girlfriend in a nightclub in Vienna called Volksgarden and as we're walking out I see Nikki Lauda walking out too with his 20'ish old girlfriend.

My girlfriend pointed over to him and as I looked over my shoulder, I managed to step on his toe and make him stumble...

I managed to stutter in my very worst German, "entschuldigen Nikki!" whilst he gave me one of the biggest evils ever! I felt quite embarrassed as many others looked on!

Lets hope my next face to face with an F1 world champion doesn't go quite the same way....

Good on you - I met him once and thought he was bloody rude. Eddie Irvine was alright, but De la Rosa was a top chap!

So if you asked him out for dinner do you think you'd crash and burn?

Does anyone else use the phrase I've Niki Lauda'd when summing up a spectacular failure when attempting to woo a young lady (as in the crash and burn thing again!!)
