Just been pondering this and wondered if any of you guys had any thoughts on it.

I'm buying a British Blue kitten early next year and I was wondering what the depreciation would be on it? My thoughts are probably zero for the first 2-3 months as it'll still look kittenesque. But after a year? Will it's value have dropped horribly???

The last thing I want to do is tie up cash in a depreciating asset like this - does anyone have any 'real world' figures for me to work to?

I think you should be alright as long as you keep it in an airtight jar, with the original receipt.

That's true. My primary employment at the moment appears to be as the Cat's butler. He decides when he gets fed or goes out, and he won't pipe down until his demands are met. I don't think he approves of me having other part-time employment

Dogs have owners; cats have staff.

I'd buy a dog, bloody cat owners, posing round towns, top down, blipping their exhausts every five seconds

I think there's a thriving secondary market in China for some models.

Might need to feed them up a bit first to get a good price.

They must be... Surely it can't be alive and dead at the same time?

I hope you can afford it!!

If not TC will be around to explain unclearly how people like you are putting an unwanted burden on the national debt in pursuit to "keep up with the jones".......

any idea on the running costs as there is a cheeky yellow one on ebay that I may bid for?
