OK, so who has, anywhere unusual? Am I sad

Currently in the middle of nowhere in India. Hardly a road never mind a car. Read OCTANE over breakfast....don't think I have switched off yet!!!

So any have holiday related PH stories or snaps...aside from the usual motoring pilgrimages.

I have done in Vietnam and Thailand before now. The slow speed of the connection with 1 minute page refreshes means I don't do it for long.

Now where's that Tiger / Singa?

Spent 18 months in Mumbai... Kingfisher beer... the only beer I know that gives you a hangover before you finish the bottle! If you do get to Mumbai, if you look out into the harbour, there is a white yaght, with gold leaf line around it. That is the boat owned by the chap who owns Kingfisher. And if you can, don't do what we did. Got a taxi, 4 of us in it, and headed out of Mumbai to the Ghandi national park, to see the tigers/elephants, etcd... when we got there, they told us it was closed, and all the beasties had been moved into Mumbai, about 2 minutes walk from the dockside!!!

When I was there for a few months in 1994, the accepted method of draining the glycerine that was allegedly at fault for the monster hangovers was to freeze the beer, then pour off the liquid.

Mind you, that drained the beer of taste, alcohol and virtually anything else pleasant about it!
