Isn't this your third watch thread in as many weeks? With the same thread title?

Can someone with a watch fetish explain the attraction? I've never got it... they just tell the time and can look pretty if you splash out a bit.
What's so great about the ones that require a second mortgage?

It's a similar attraction to cars - fine engineering, hand made.

Why do you like a certian piece of art, and someone another? It's all subjective.

I like watches, and lots of other things. But a beautifully made watch is a joy for life.

i bought a TAG when i got my first job. that's right, i blew nearly a whole month's salary on a friggin' watch - mind you, i'm still wearing it to today so it's lasted.

i can't figure it out, it's not like 'bling' cos hardly anyone ever notices it, well only other watch nerds it must be just a 'bloke' thing; we like our stupid gadgets, like women and their shoes etc.

Why have one of anything when you can several, or many?

Why do people collect anything?

Just love this:

Although not out yet I still fancy a bit of this:

Again, another concept watch:

My next watch (probably):

Can't wait for all the 'what do you want a nice watch for, it only tells the time?' Nonsense. Then again, what do you need a nice car for? It only gets you from A to B.

the day I buy an expensive watch will be the day I finally tell myself "I have arrived". i have goals and the day I reach them will be the day I buy a fine watch.

They (the ones pictured) are all very nice but to be honest I'm happy waiting for my Cosmograph.

Just wish I could afford the white gold one...

two in the middle of these are gorgeous have to agree, but they are very much works of art and i think i would be too concerned with damage to have the courage to wear them out doors.

which would be a shame, and an unfortunate waste
