I have a document that refers to the purchase of a plot of land including an octagonal church in Nottingham dated 10th April 1783. With a little digging, i have worked out that the church and four hectares of land were bought by the Methodists for £250 on this date and was then converted into one of the first Weslyianism (methodists) church's.
The church itself stood where the Victoria Station is now.

Does anyobody have a clue what i can do with this document, it is an indenture not deeds, so i don't think i own Nottingham. It was left to me by my father, who came by it 50 or so years ago. Yes he was a Lovejoy type.

Any ideas greatly recieved, i am enjoying exploring its history and am not overly keen to sell it, simply value it.

The Victoria Centre is built on the site of the old Victoria railway station. The clock tower is the only remaining part of it.

Oops! I should have read the whole thread first.

I'm not sure, the Vicky centre is a bit of a dump to be honest and probably the ugliest building in Nottingham.

Might be worth contacting the history department at Nottingham Uni - I'm sure there's at least a couple of people that would be interested in something like that, or at the very least might be able to point you in the right direction.

Sounds pretty cool though.

Yeah I drive round it with my neons on every Friday and Saturday night...

Oops, shouldn't have admitted that.
