Fridge Magnets
Discussion
We like fridge magets 'round here.
Ours is festooned with Early Learning Centre letters, which can be arranged into all sorts of stuff if you invest in enough of them. 'The quick white goose jumps over the lazy badger' is a little surreal for even our house. It also features holiday reminders: Disneyland, Narrow Boats, Valentia signpost, Irish Sheep.
An RNLI boat (my cousins are volunteers), a 'Lion King' one (great West End Show)
....and I must admit a word in the middle that I just did.

Sorry, a more pointless waste of money I can't imagine.
Fair point. And I suppose if I'd said 'waste of money about the house', someone would have proposed a certain glass ornament...
Fridge magnets were always something of an irritant to me with the last wife: I used to make a point of slamming the fridge door as hard as possible so they fell off, then 'accidentally' standing on them...
Now I see me Julie is starting; there's a Leicester City one in the kitchen....

the one that says 'achy poo' in the bottom right quarter... is that a cry for help or a note to self?
I do know what you mean, but I think if anyone wants a momento of a holiday the humble fridge-magnet is better than some sort of ornament for which you have no real space (unless you are one of these people whohave a display case dedicated to such things...No offence intended). Remember too that I have 3 children: 17,15 and 10 and that one of them writes "The quick white goose jumps over the lazy badger" on the fridge fills me with pride and reinforces my belief that we have brought them up to be ever so slightly unhinged.

Nothing so sinister, the 'R' has become dislodged from my daughter's friend Rachel writing 'Rachypoo', just as my son's girlfriend has added 'CHARLiE'.
..and someone has written 'OOJAMAFLiPYNESSABILITY' in an annoying way that clashes with the handle.

Yes, but at 17 you'd expect SOME literacy, wouldn't you...
