HA!! Now I have your attention. Just found a firework in the garden.
What are the odds of being hit by a falling firework rocket? and would it hurt you? or kill you?

My brother lives in LA and there have been incidents in South Central etc where gangmembers have fired their guns into the air at midnight on New Year's Eve and people have been hit by falling bullets!

That was my worst nightmare too. We have just built a large log cabin at the end of the garden, and we have been on 'fire watch' all bloody week.

Suddenly the idea of a combustible building doesn't seem such a good idea In our local paper the front page dipicts a women who has came home to see a massive chinese rocket smouldering away and melted through the roof of her brand new caravan.

Fireworks these days are getting bigger and more powerful every year. 'Tis a matter of time before someone gets taken out completly by one.

A year or two back a spent rocket landed a couple of feet from me and was embedded a few inches in the ground. This year my cousin took her 1yo daughter to the doorway of the house and the kid was hit on the head by one of the little 2" cardboard tubes that are packed into the rockets. Left a nice sooty mark and a very unhappy child!

Too bad if he lived in Sussex where there's a hosepipe ban in force!
