Ever find a post that makes you so mad you start furiously typing a reply, only to rewrite and write it again, then finally have worked yourself into such a fume that you just have to close the window and leave the keyboard?

Not usually on PH for me, but if you include all forums I visit I must have this happen about 10 times a day! my poor blood pressure

How many do you type a day that never get posted?

I will admit that judgemental stuff gets my goat sometimes and how lightly people treat death.

I try not to take anything on the internet seriously. You rarely know the context it was written in or the writers sense of humour.

Having said that some of the messages on the IMDB forums drive me nuts. A lot of political & religious ramblings by people who don't understand politics or religion.

I can't believe how some people get up their own a*se about message boards sometimes. You'd think they had precious little to do and were in a room full of real people. For God's sake get out and get a life!

Nothing on here should be taken seriously, but the sort of threads I never post on are:

My best friend/close relation has just died - grief is not something a load of unknown keyboard warriors need/want to know about.

I've just driven 20 miles and found the swimming pool closed - waste of bandwidth (you know who you are )

I've got a turbo nutter bastard ricer that is twice as fast as the USS Enterprise - Yeah, okay.

i jst do txt spk msg rtin - Spell properly or go away child.

Oh I tend to do that rather a lot.

Especially when I look at what I've just written and the thread I've replied to and thought "How many people who know me are reading this?".

With PH its probably under a half dozen, other forums could be up to a dozen or more - which is never a good sign!

Added to my GF knowing my PH login name, there are some threads where one is better off not saying a word!

I probably only post about half of what I start typing out.

Sometimes it's just not worth it.

Well restrained im proud of you!

Of all the silly things I find its the computer games forums that get me the most. World of Warcraft forums are... odd

Yup, do it all the time. usually re-read and think, nah I'll look a pranny if I write that, or I might be wrong, so don't want to look a pranny.

The self-judgement eats me up, so i never bother half the time.

However, pranny or not, I'm posting this. Judge what you will.

I have no idea what a pranny is but you are obviously a prime example of one from that post.

One of those words that you never really know what they are, but are derogatory nonetheless. Like Twonk.

Thanks for your support though.

Oh God yes. I have often forced myself to delete posts rather than post them on here and other forums. Usually because I've broken my own rule of 'no personal abuse'.

Quite correct, I was that disinterested that I may have not got the facts quite right. However, the fact that as a moderator of the forums, and your propensity to close threads that are apparently not interesting enough, does not give you the right to post utter rubbish. The fact that on that day in question within the space of a few minutes you post about a problem with your (not so) local swimming pool and a wasp sting, is at best inconsistent. What is worse is that if I remember correctly, both threads ran to over two pages of utter drivel within a very short time.

PH just isn't what it was when I joined.
