I picked up 3 young chaps from the station Taxi rank last night and one was carrying a Drum Stick, they had just been to see the "Alkaline Trio" at Brixton and the Drumstick was thrown into the crowd at the end,a struggle followed and now this youngster was the new owner protectively clutching the stick as he went off into the darkness, before leaving he tipped me a "Funeral For a Freind" badge.

Any of you people got any interesting momentoes from an event.

I remember after the touring cars at Brands a few years back (the one where mansell crashed out in a mondeo.) watching two guys wander through the carpark with a HUGE chunk of Mansell's mondeo's bumper. apparently they got him to sign it, but I'm not sure quite how they managed it!

later in the day sat in the bar area, guy spots me with the stick stuffed in my Dc Marts asks to have a look... gives it a twirl and sees the manu name on the base.. exclaims "hey thats mine! did you see us at the start? cool man, hey let me buy you a beer as a thank you - i didnt think anyone was in other than our mates as the lights where blinding me on the stool"

Still have a large chunk of Escort Cossie whaletail from my first rally (marshalling). He was car 1 and didn't even reach turn 1 (where we were stood).

I've been hooked ever since

Word on the street is that he sadly passed away a year or so ago, however the media nazi's only allow a certain number of high profile deaths a year. This is done in order to steady the emotional balance of the world and ensure life can actually continue. You only have to look at how this country shut down following the death of Princess Di to see where they are coming from. The pope was another classic example, he had in fact been dead for some 6 years before his slot came up. I believe the above has been scheduled for "release" some time in 2006.

I caught a Plectrum at an Offspring concert lobbed by Noodles a couple of years ago!... doubt any of you lot know who they are though

Better for you is I got Jimmy Page to sign the case for my Les Paul when he came to a charity concert at my school! Man is a legend... and a bloody nice bloke to boot. AND he has a fit 23 year old Brazilian missus!

Dead? Brian Wilson? 'kin 'ell, that makes his performance on Sunday 26th June at this year's Glastonbury (which I was at) even more impressive.

I wish I'd managed to see him when he was living, he was 'kin brilliant.

Why would we not know who The Offspring are? They were pretty mainstream in the late 90s/early 2000s.

I did, he said that I should be careful when I'm strumming while I've got it
