I went to the hairdressers this morning, he had cut my hair and then he gets this stick out which he sets on fire. I'm thinking oh oh, is that like the 'final solution' for hair, they set your head on fire and it doesn't grow back again. Then he starts flicking this flame at my ears, he says it was to burn off any little hairs that may grow in the ears, pretty bizarre if you ask me.

Are you sure this wasn’t just a dare within the employees? “20 quid says you can’t burn a customers ear hair and get away with it”.

Makes you wonder how far they where willing to go if you asked for a hair cut and they started burning your ear hair.

My husband went for a hair cut in Kuwait on his way home for his last leave. He was in there 2 hours having his hair cut, a hot towel on his head and a neck and shoulder massage. But the bit that really made me laugh was, the bloke stuck a couple of sticks up his nose with wax on the end then pulled them out along with all his nasal hairs.

I don't think he's planning on going back before he comes home next leave.

It's a new socialist method of cutting hair.

Do you think Mel would be worried if this method were to present itself at BTAP? How about a blowtorch?

Sounds like a hardcore hairdresser - did his 206CC have a big V8 in it and flame metalflake paint applied?

James here:

I've had that done in Derby. There is a Turkish shaver in the Eagle Centre who does it. Definately the closest shave I've ever had
