How much does the president of the usa earn
Discussion
I thought our prime minister gets about 70k? and MPs about 55ish? I think Winston Churchill actually decided not to accept the money, but i may be completely, and utterly, wrong about this! They make shed loads out of other stuff though, and i imagine there claimed expenses are huge.
Cheers,
Rob.

He dosent actually technically "earn" a penny. He does what all the rest of them do and Takes it.
I wouldn't lead the western world for $400 000 a year a decent footballer makes more than that in a month.Fairplay to the man he must really love his country to put up with the stuff he has to put up with for that salary.
Re UK politicians.
Its not just the pay it is all the extra stuff.
For example my best friend (not) David Blunderkitt.
When he resigned from Home Sec position he was allowed to keep his grace and favour flat. OK it must be difficult and expensive to fit out a place for a blind person.
Yet despite living in the free flat he rented out his London place AND claimed £20,608 allowance designed to help MPs maintain a second home in London.
He also claimed the £18,725 ex ministerial allowance designed to help ex ministers because they can't take another job for three months. Yet we know he breached that rule.
Now he has resigned again he will take a second £18,275 ex-ministerial allowance, that makes it two such allowances in one year.
Plus as ex Home secretary will probably keep his chauffeur driven car.
Hmmm.....

It's not like they pay for anything themselves though, quite a few perks as well. Most of the ex US presidents get a lifetime secret service bodyguard or two dont they?
This is interesting:
