Psychic readings
Discussion
Here's a slightly random one! Not sure how it will be received on this site, but I thought I'd give it a go and see what happens.
Just been catching up on Lost (please don't mention what happens) and I've just seen the show where the blonde sees the psychic and gets the bad news. An ex of mine was into this and I was curious for verious personal reasons, so I was seeing if anybody here has ever dabbled in this sort of thing. To either found out what the future holds or to get back in touch with loved ones who have passed on.
Please, if you just want to poke fun(shouldn't imagine that'd happen on here), I don't think there is a need to reply, but if you have something to offer, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I've had my palm read and my tarot cards read. The palm reading is a charcter reading and tarot can be either a past, present or future reading. Both of them, for me, were both very acurate and told me things which have occued as she said they would.
I had my palm read on Venice beach, more for a laugh then anything else, thought to my self if she says I like to travel I'm not going to take it seriously. 3rd thing she told me was that I like to travel!! The rest of the stuff she came out with was vauge enough to be applied to what has gone in the last couple of years, but nothing specific.
The main reason I was curious was when an ex girlfriend saw a psychic and she was revealling specifics about her late mother and current life, then went on to explain about events that were about to happen with some degree of accuracy.
The weirdest thing that was told to me was a photograph or an image she could see with a caravan pulled by a donkey or a horse and a family standing in front of it. The family was a mother and father with a young boy standng in front of his dad and the mother holding a baby girl. The surroundings were described as being deserty/very sandy and she also said that the photo was taken abroad "very abroad" was her exact words. About a month after the reading I was helping my Dad clear out my Nans loft and we came across a bag of photos. Took them downstairs and started looking through them. We came across a bunch in an envelope and had a look through. I nearly shit myself when I came across a photo as described above and on the back was a little message, well more a story of how the picture was take just before my Grandads family set off from Victoria (Australia) to Sydney to get on the boat to come to England. Sorry for being long winded but hey.

Is this the argument thread...?
I knew you were going to say that...
No, you didn't....
It's not an argument thread, I'm not having an argument with anybody, I just thought that seeing as this is the non motoring section of a forum I thought I'd see if anybody else would share my views or be able to share an experience with me. I'm aware some people might not understand or agree with this sort of thing, which was why I asked people not to leave comments like the ones you've been leaving mybrainhurts.
Just like when people start up a watch thread, they ask people who don't agree with spending thousands of pounds on a watch to offer childish little comments on the threads. I thought I'd do the same, and if the thread drops into the wilderness of PH then so be it. Nothing lost, but I just don't understand whilst people like you feel the need to make stupid little comments on thread after thread...

It's odd little things like this that always make me wonder if I would be tempted to see somebody like that, but I'm never sure what I'd gain. My ex told me that she was told all sorts of things about her mother that nobody else would have known, but she didn't really get anything from the experience, apart from a huge amount of confusion and upset. I'm curious, but I'm not sure if I want to put myself in the position to something that might be as upsetting...
What a load of twaddle, the nation gets fed a diet of Acorah for a bit, and suddenly
goes all 'Liverpool' in its approach to the afterlife
Its not bad enough the gipoe fraternity have benn lifting our collective leg, since they got here
we go out actively looking for nonsense, with a sign on our forehead saying
'I know this is all crap, but i'll sit here with these other women, and let you read me like a book, TA'
Seems to be a supposedly informed choice we modern people make,
in buying a fridge CD or washer,
but all that goes straight out the window, when Which-magazine (sic) fails to deliver an appropriate answer to why we are un-fulfilled,
leaving the door wide open to such charlatans as care to set themselves up, in an uncontrolled profession such as faith healer/snake oil retailer/palmist
Old fashioned gypsy
anyway i'm off to watch most haunted so there
