casual booked to work UFN. Sent by jobcentre.

Monday. Due 0900 arives 0930. Takes lunch at 1200 and comes back at 1430. Goes home at 1615.

Tuesday. Due 0900, arrives 1000. takes lunch at 1200, doesn't come back. Woman claiming to be her Mum rings at 1500 to say she had had to go home; period pains. Supervisor rings home address, Mum answers: denies making call and says daughter not at home.

Wednesday. Due 0900 arrives 1000 dressed in tight white trousers. Usual 2 hour lunch and leaves at 1615.

Thursday. Asked on Monday to bring in ID docs as she is doing sensitive work. Still not arrived. Sent to registrars ofice at 1200 to get birth certificate copy to prove ID. Doesn't come back and never arrives at registrars office.

Friday. Arives at 1030 as staff are puting right the cock ups from the half day she worked Thursday. Leaves at 1200 for lunch and never comes back.

Monday. Doesn't come in. Send employee to Home to collect pass etc: hasn't lived there for 5 months.

Tuesday. Sent letter telling her not to come back.

Wednesday: calls from job centre to ask when she will be paid.

Emerges that she has been given a clothing allowance from the job centre to allow her to work (penny drops on new white trousers) and they have also paid her fares to work. She is back signing on after being sacked, and not haing left of her own volition which would have stoped her benefits: back claiming benefits. Staff picking up pieces!!!!

That's what I thought. 21 years old and 2 kids, one 6 years old and one 18 months. No father in sight.

Maybe it was the tight white trousers. Some chav girls are worth a length.

"you're fired."

You'd expect a new employee to be on time on their first day, really.
No hours worked, no reason to pay.

smile all round.....................the office at least.

I'm suprised they let her sign back on after you were contacted by the jobcentre and informed them she was dismissed for non-performance.

I signed on briefly a couple of years ago, only to find my last emloyer (who I managed approximately a month of total personality clashes with my boss, before I was re-assigned to a project that was cancelled a week later, making me redundant...) had alleged to the jobcentre I was removed fo non-performance.

As a result, despite my protestations to the contrary, I was informed I would be unable to claim for over 6 months...

Call them back and have a decent chat. Seriously.

Her abuse of the system is costing everyone money, perhaps if she HAD to work she would put some effort into it.

See it all the time.

We tend to use them on the archery range these days. This inbuilt tendancy to wander (quickly) from their supposed place of work adds to the challenge of pinning them down.

We really are knackered.
