Any mobile phone Guru's here?
Discussion
I have inherited a Sony Ericsson k700i Which is Vodafone branded and i want to unbrand it.
It appears to be unlocked as i am using a t-mobile pay as you go sim in it, but the vodafone branding has disabled the one feature i want to work! (using mp3's for ringtones)
Apparently they disabled it so that you have to pay vodafone for each song if you want songs as ringtones
Cheeky bastards! I hate the way companies are doing this stuff these days...
Can i just take it to one of those mobile phone kiosks and have them do it? Vodafone say that the warranty is unvalid unless it still has the branding, but its a used phone and out of warranty anyway.

i got my D500 debranded(orange) from www.fonefunshop.co.uk.
Looking at their website it would appear they offer the same service for the k700i

That looks like the jobby! I would prefer not to send the phone away if i could juts take it somewhere instead, but atleast i know the service is available somewhere, cheers
Not done a search, but the forums on www.esato.com are usually a goldmine for SonyEricsson info.
