Amazon and xbox360

anyone else made the mistake of pre-ordering an Xbox 360 from amazon

It was ordered in September, but they have no idea when they think they will be able to deliver it. Some people are speculating that pre-orders will not be sorted till February

At this rate the PS3 will be out before my 360 arrives.

Christmas will be fun, with my additional controller and 3 Xbox360 games to look at

I preordered in august and they keep pushing the date back. It has been speculated that Amazon lost/messed up their pre-order list so people who ordered in November got theirs!

I got mine from Comet online on Friday. Game in Bristol apparently have some so other stores will have too. What a load of faff/hype!

I pre-ordered from Amazon months ago. In the mean time the debit car I used expired so I changed it to my current one and blammo, I lost my delivery date. 3rd December -> 20 february, cheers amazon. What was I supposed to do, psychically predict what my new card details were going to be?

Canceled the order, glad I did now.

Customer service is terrible, emailed them and got a stupid stock response basically repeating back to me what I had said to them, replied to that and it bounced, you aren't even allowed to have a dialogue.

They are good, just not on stuff they haven't got yet.

I had Gran Turismo 4 ordered with them in October 2003 with estimated delivery for June 2004. Come Christmas 2004 I still didn't have it and emailed them and got a reply saying, "wait longer" basically...

Wouldn't leave money with any company. No product there and then, they get no money. Had numerous smaller companies holding my money for weeks while they get stock in, making interest on it, while I loose out on interest or pay credit card interest (use CC for online stuff)

Rest of the time though, Amazon have been great, quick delivery and very competitive prices, just don't use their saver delivery.
