If they filmed people who listen to her the program would be no fun. Most "good" developers would not be seen dead on there... I should know!!!

Actually one of my friends work colleagues was on last series. She said he was such a tw*t in real life that he was always going to be a useless developer. I think Sarah had a wail of a time. He was the guy who converted the garage into a BBQ area and had the sunken bath than a moutain climber would have trouble getting to

cant agree with those of you that think she looks good. but she does talk a lot of common sense. although i think it might be edited to make her look good. the viewers of the properties always seem to agree with her. conspiracy nah
having said that although these first time developers sometimes lose the plot they dont seem to make as much of a cock up as colin and justin.fruedian slip surely, oops at it again

The in-laws saw a property in Clevedon (near Bristol) this week that had appeared in the programme.

They didn't buy it!!!

DIdn't see this - was it the one with the two dithery boho bints down from Lunnun with too much money who bought the Art Deco place by Sandbanks ... ?

They really were a couple of airhead MAWs with no idea - would lose 100k on the sale so it turned out ...

No idea.

DID not see it tonight ...but if it was the Art Deco one in Liiliput (just round corner from Sandbanks) that house is round the corner from me. The girls had the house left/given to them and rich daddy paid for all the alterations so yo can hardly call it a "real!" example of proerty development. They never sold it either IIRC!!!

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, they bought a lovely art deco house and then filled it with twee crap, and ripped out lots of original features. They should be hanged for crimes against architecture.

If that's all true that explains why they didn't sem that upset when they found out their restoartion bill had jumped from a proposed £60k to £240k ... menaing they would in fact lose £100k if they sold and managed to obtain top market price.

On some of these shows, the people who do the restoration work live like dogs, in one room, no decent facilities etc to make their dream happen ... working eight hours a day at thier job and then putting in the hours round at the property. I have a lot of respect for them and always hope they do well at the end of the show.

Sometimes I wish these talentless bints with too much money and no basic idea at all would just fail ... which invariably they do!

that explains it! i'm sure she was up the duff in a previous episode as they never showed a body shot, but in this one they showed her top to bottom - albeit clothed.

I'm pretty much doing this at the moment

A mate of mine is featuring on Property Ladder soon. He's a bit of a character so it should be a good one!

These shows and particularly Property ladder make their entertainment out of failure.

And its always over the same thing..

Would be developer has mad ideas and rennovates/builds a place that they want to live in. That emotive connection with a property is what sits in the back of your mind when the costs creep. As its an emotional decision the cost increases seem acceptable, when infact they are hatstand. I have made the mistake from it, not again though.

Then when it comes to my own place to live in, I find I cant make my mind up on anything at the moment :-)
