Warrington Country Hotel for Liverpool meeting

I'm embarking on a 700 mile road trip to try and close up some business loose ends before christmas. We have a meeting Friday morning in Liverpool, but all the decent hotels are fully booked for thursday night for some reason. Any recommendations for places around Liverpool/Warrington that is nice clean, not too expensive and preferably has a decent resturant. Thanks
