I realise that Tricky er is an elected official and all that and that he's advised by a bunch of accountants etc. at the Treasury and that "his" Bills have to pass through Parliament.

But what qualifications/experience does he have to make the enormous decisions that he makes.

When an accountant or tax advisor tries to explain some complex matters to me I sometimes have to say "I'm sorry but I'm too dim to understand all of that".

Does that Tricky er pretend he understands it all?

He's just a mouthpiece.

At least he has some helpers, unlike Prescott!

He has no qualifications for the job which is why he likes to try to look clever by talking about "neo-classical endogenous growth theory".

What would be truly interesting would be to see just how many MP's have any *real world* business experience and / or qualifications which relate to what they do ( errrrr ....... *meant* to do ) at Westminster,

less than 10 % ??

maybe ..... but professions such as Law , Medicine , Engineering , Finance and Banking all require professional qualifications, relevant experience and exams ........... its a pity the people running the country don't have to have any.

They are just the public puppets, they don't need to know anything, it's the people behind the scenes that advise and understand. My Mum was an advisor to the Minister of Health in New Zealand for a while, I once asked her why she didn't want the MoH's job, she said she had far more power where she was than the MoH could ever hope for.
