Hi!

I mistakingly brought the worlds biggest turkey under the hope that my family would be grateful for the invitation of xmas at my house this year but they declined.

This has left me and the husband with a bird big enough to feed about 14 people!!! There is only 2 of us. How do we go about ensuring none is wasted and that we might even help to put a smile on someone less fortunate than ourselves face?

Live in Gatwick area if it helps?

Take it along to one of your family's houses where you spend christmas at theirs instead...

Not very charitable but saves on the washing up.......

Sadly I think any shelter type place would say "thanks, but no thanks" as... and hats off to the state we live in... they wouldn't want to risk making anyone ill (godforbid salmanella etc) and getting their asses sued.

This is, apparently, why places like Pret etc. chuck sandwiches away rather than giving them to charity. They just can't afford to risk the law suits should someone get ill on an "old" sandwich.

Give it a go, however. I could be totally wrong.

My parents and two younger brothers all smoke and to be blunt their house fecking reeks!
So thats why im not going to theirs xmas day, im also pregnant so dont really fancy sitting next to ashtrays etc. The family declined our invitation cause....and i quote......We like to have a cigerette after dinner or between courses

Now call me outragous for suggesting it but they cant see the logic in nipping outside for a fag........

So they can all feck off!! hehe!

hence the ultra large bird......
