Boy, 3, crashes into police car

Police officers were stunned when a car crashed into their patrol car - and they found a three-year-old boy was responsible.

Oliver Willment-Coster was left strapped in the car by his father, Jeffrey who went into a shop to buy his son a Milky Bar.

But the youngster managed to take the car out of gear, release the handbrake, then steer 15 yards down the road.

He came to a sudden stop when the white Proton car smashed into the police vehicle, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Mr Coster became aware of the incident only when a police officer entered the shop and asked: "Does anyone have a white car?"

The 54-year-old lorry driver ran from the store in Bournemouth, Dorset, and found his son unharmed and sitting in the passenger seat with the belt still around him.

All the boy said was: "Have you got my Milky Bar?"

Mr Coster said he would never leave his son in the car again. "It is what thousands of parents do every day. I never thought he would be able to take the handbrake off."

Yep i saw this on TV,first thing that came to mind was how irresponsible it is to leave a young child not only in a car on his own but unattended for any old peado to take an interest, also what would of happened if the kid had got scared, got out of the car and gone in the road looking for his dad,....crazy.

Such a non-story. Couldn't believe it had made it to the papers.

Is this what we count as news these days?

Now now Frik it's not a non-story but a human interest story

It is supposed to give you a slight chuckle before turning to the next page.

Yeah the world is full of peado's in speedo's, get a grip. Have you ever tried to "nip" into a shop with a toddler?

The amusing thing is that the officers involved would have to call the patrol sgt, as technically it's a polac, (police accident)

Mind you this goes into the stats that state "--% of police cars have been involved in a collision when on duty." That goes whether it's a pursuit or something like this.

So are you saying rather than put yourself out,you would leave a tot of 3 in a car on his own in a busy area?
