He was an alright bloke.
Discussion
He firmly believed in what he was doing, wouldnt hurt a fly and was very positive, nothing phased him and he just kept right on going.
People didnt have to follow him, but he tried to show them a good way of life and when things needed proving and miracles were required he delivered, yet they still "hung him out to dry"
Nothing much has changed in this life then.
Is the bible just a manual for life?

Have you ever seen Harry Potter's play "Son of Man". Jesus goes up to the top of Mount Carvery to survey the various carcasses already in place there. He raps one bird with his knuckles and says, "Nice bit of breast that".
not seen that one eric...
Yes, this thread is going to get out of hand...
He's not the son of God, he's a very naughty boy....Ever thought he was a fairly radical rabbi, who was upset with the corruption and power politics in the religion....
MAybe said something along the lines of we ARE ALL god's children (ie all equally importatnt) next thing we know, it is spun as he says he is god's son, by those in power who don't like this idea, that they are not important, then gets executed,
and a major world religion gets started....
That's how it would happen now...

Personally, I'm not overly religious... I can see why people follow a certain faith etc. and I don't really hold anything against that. But I have to side with you here, your probably right!
Yep, there probably was a rather nice chap called jesus, and yep, I'm sure he inspired a lot of people.
But things like the miracles? Come on, the only source of information is 2000 years old! feeding of the 5000? Fishes and loaves?
Is it not more likely that this bloke jesus simply started sharing what he had and inspired others to do the same?
Controversial maybe, but thats what I reckon
