My busiest time of the year. So far, I've taken Saturday and Sunday off only. My Christmas holiday begins on 1 February.

I've been in work all day. Only person in the office at the moment (usually 30 or so).

And I can't go home for 15more minutes

Accountant perchance?

Have promised myself I will do my accounts in the first week of Feb and not be wrestling with the IR website in the last week of Jan this year...

I went into work today, arrived at 2pm.

By 330pm the match (Bolton v MiddlesB) had been called off as the pitch was frozen.

By 4pm I was on my way home.

I work that out as being about £165 per hour, not bad really

its not all bad being at work today. personally i wouldn't know as i wouldn't dream of working during my week off

anyway, a friend of mine actually works christmas week as his job is directly linked to the people who take the week off. so he gets paid to have a leisurely ride up to town each day, where he does absolutely nothing for a whole week. he then uses his saved days to actually take time off that is useful later in the year.

I've always worked over xmas (other than national days)as It's a busy time.
The city's not a bad place to be when 80% of the people aren't here.
But I'd rather be on a beach in goa.....

Both related to the BMW E30 www.E30Zone.co.uk and www.PlanetE30.co.uk

The Zone is the original site but few people got fed up with the way the Zone was being run so set up the Planet

I know, no problem getting a seat on the train and most places are deserted

I would have been in work this morning, I was on my way in but my sales controller rang me and told me that the last 15 miles to our office was barely passable and it was still snowing heavily so they would be shutting up and sending the remaining staff home.

Its good news bad news, I lose out on a days worth of commission but I get a free day off.
