Who's seen it?

Very slick - old man with one arm talking about his life experience, how he's made it and now lives in a mansion, but would give it all for just one minute longer when the "time" comes.

Great advert but completely wrong for the product. Is it just me that thinks this?

One of the very few where I was tempted to use the
advertiser's product simply because the ad
was so well done. Tempted, mind you.

Apparently he lost the arm hand-swinging his
Spitfire. Bastard compression on a Merlin, they say.

I think its a brilliant advert, quite thought provoking.

But as you say, much as I love it Im not sure I would usually associate an advert like that with that particular company.

I thought it was advertising private healthcare or something similar...

Has anyone got a link to the advert to refresh my memory?

Yes, and what a disappointment to find out it's for lastminute.com

The one I HATE is the confused.com add'.
...almost to putting foot through screen stage.

Same as the vodafone one with the mayflies. Superb add, but WTF has it got to do with phones...

Who IS the bloke - not caught the ad from the start, don't know if it says or not.

But very good advert...sort of bloke you want to listen to, hear his stories, then go out and emulate some of them.

Emulate certain aspects possibly, but I'd rather not lose the arm just yet, although it has already been broken three times.

brilliant ad

you could use it as the outline for a book

suggested titles;

(Al hamza "My life in television" ? )

"SUPERGIT!!!" (was supergrandpa)

"BullSh1t for Beginners"

"Boldly Gone"

"The Gainsayer Trilogy"

any thoughts?

I think FSA regulations insist that adverts for car insurers must be annoying.

I'm talking confused.com, elephant.co.uk (that's elephant.co.uk), sheilas wheels, diamond car insurance, more than etc etc etc.
