Very good play, enjoyed it.

I think I'll do my own shaving though!

A fantastic piece of drama, with superb acting from all the cast, especially Ray Winstone.

Eating my dinner whilst watching it wasn't such a wise move though

Very good

Anyone else notice that the first guy he killed - as the camera changed angles the shaving soap on his cheek and top lip kept disappearing and reappearing

My girlfriend and I watched this, she did not believe me when I said it was based on a true story, and that she had never heard of Sweeney Todd, it took me a while to convince her. I showed her some bits about him on the web.

Winstone is a class act! I have seen him in several interviews of late and he comes across as a modest, self-effacing Londoner who just feels he has had some 'lucky breaks'. Last night's performance was utterly stunning. I was on the edge of my seat, choked (excuse the pun), holding my breath, running off to get coffee - the kidney stone scene ...

Still keep watching Sexy Beast over and over - worth tracking down if you haven't seen this - also has Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane and Amanda Redman

I wasn't sure that had ever been proved?

I usually hate period style dramas but this was fantastic.
Great performances from all the cast, especially Winstone and kept me gripped right to the end.

The continuity was all over the place nearly all the way through. It was a good play, but having put that much effort into the production it was a shame they fell down here. It was bloody irritating and spoilt my enjoyment of it.

He certainly was a quiet barber. Perhaps he had a lot on his mind. What did the bird have - siff? Wasn't there a lot of toothless crones about in those days?

Maybe it's repeated on one of the other BBC channels.
