Morning,

Try Passmores www.passmores.co.uk ; I've had a shed of them for each of my last two houses (one in Surrey, one in W.London - I think they were both free delivery) they are great quality and reasonable enough price - I had a pent 10x8 at 450 IIRC - (499-10% discount this time last year - quiet time of year?)

Cheers,

SHED (literally )

I got my 12x8 double door shed with 6 windows (2 openers) and a high pitch roofline from these guys: www.shedsdirect.net/

Service was great but the quality, even of the heavy duty version I bought was not great. Reguired a little 'adjustment' to build it. Doesn't matter too much as I'm in the process of lining and insulating the walls and roof ready for a workshop installation...

For godsake don't buy a B&Q shed, I did and had to send it back - it was utter crap!

I bought an 8'x6' shed from Eagle sheds instead, they fabricate them themselves, all treated timber, delivered, erected and levelled for £200 more than the cost of the B&Q rubbish (which was self assembly).

Eagle sheds make and build many of the local timber buildings including the beach huts at Whitstable. Excellent quality and top service.

They are Kent based but IIRC will deliver and erect further afield, their number is 01304 612258

Why not build your own??
Mine cost just over £500 in materials, will outlast the B&Q flimsies by tenfold!

Built mine too... side of the house, door at both ends large enough for a motorcyle, hanging space for kayaks, large work bench, clear roof for light... about 400 quid. If you can attach it to the side of your house and can weild a tape measure then it's easy.

There's a shed shop on the roundabout at the bottom of the Hogs back just outside Guildford. Has the best advertising around. Signs like "Valentines coming soon, why not buy her a Shed!"

What a remarkable site! Wouldn;t have even dreamed of looking on the web for picutres of self built sheds!

Having said that compared to a shop bought shed, yours looks somewhat over-engineered! So should last a lifetime.

My shed is delapidated, but appears own-built by a previous occupier so I am treating it as a restoration project. Did the roof last year, will replace the shiplap panelling this year, and the floor. Next year I'll think about insulation.

But the frame is so strong no point buying a new one!

A few years ago we bought a summerhouse (a Hampton* !!) from these guys

www.shedstore.co.uk/

It was seriously good value and has lasted well.

Usual disclaimers

 •  Did I want their erection service? No. I could erect my own hampton, thank you very much
