Anyone here got a Sony Aibo?

[blindswelledrat]

I keep coveting one of these as they look fantastic but are they a novelty to become bored with or are they long-term cool???
Or perhaps just shit and childish?

I have a mate who has one, bought about 5 years ago when he thought he was wealthy. He spent a large amount of money importing one from the US, when they weren't available in the UK.

And he got bored with it within 6 weeks. Just a toy, and nothing much more.

His is an older model, and more modern ones may be better/have more functionality/actually do what they claim to (chase balls/develop personalities) but personally, I wouldn't bother.
