What is the best way to continue to get hammered without paying the price for drinking Belgium's finest at the scales?

I've wondered about this. Do spirits (whisky, brandy etc) contain less calories then say a strong lager. Could you take in the same alcohol intake but less calories by switching to spirits?

really? I thought it had very little in it and it was normally the mixer that had the calories.

The average pub spirit measure is about 100 cals, a pint of lager / guinness around 200 cals.

I'm told G&T with low calorie 'T' is the best thing next to drinking spirits.

Gin is supposed to be one of the worst drinks you can drink if your dieting!

This interests me, as I'm on a diet at the moment. I've lost about 6 pounds since Boxing day (when I began), but Saturday nights are a bit of a setback usually

How many calories does Southern Comfort have in it?

Double shot of gin in a pint of Guiness, downed in one.
Excellent diet aid - not only will the contents of
your stomach be forceably ejected in short order, you
will also be unable to eat or drink anything for
a considerable period thereafter.

lol, Ed. Long time since I have seen you post.

Good idea that. Best diet drink:- 12 pints of lager followed by a Baileys and tomato juice. I bet you won't have put on a pound by the morning.

This is the key point IIRC. Alcohol boosts your appetite and you end up eating crap.
