Three Men in a Boat - very good.

Anybody else see Three Men in a Boat last night?
What a great programme! Thoroughly enjoyable, easy to watch tv that jsut made me want to go out and buy a rowing boat and do the same journey.
It just looked such a relaxing, peaceful and tranquil way of spending a week and it also made me realise just how beautiful parts of this country are.
I think that it made such a nice change from the usual so called documentaries, fly-on-the-wall so called entertainment and made me appreciate the slower way of life and all that is good in the world!
To give a brief outline of the 'plot', Rory Mcgrath, Gryf Rhys Jones and Dermot(?) (the Irish stand up comedian) follow the story of Jerome K Jerome's trip along the river through Oxford etc on a little boat over the course of a week.
Am I on my own with this one or did anyone else really enjoy it?

Couldn't fit in the first part because of the clashing schedules, (what is it - you don't see a programme worth watching for five years and then three come along all at once?) but caught this second one.
Completely pointless escapade.
....and that's what made it so brilliant! Chuckled out loud through plenty of it! we should all go and descend on that church! hehe:

Dermot???........I think you mean Dara O'Briain
Good TV that relied on 3 funny guys being funny and not a lot else.
No contrived humour (or at least, it appeared so), no expensive effects, no scripting. Just 3 blokes doing something for the sake of it and having a laugh while doing so.
For some reason it reminded me of going to LeMans, the same blokey humour and pisstaking I guess.

I've read the book a couple of times, so was looking forward to this. Yes there was a little too much f
ing swearing on occasions but it didn't detract too much from it! Loved the doggy - very similar to ours
