After spending the last 15 months mourning the day I sold my old Esprit, I have finally replaced it with another unreliable and temperamental mid-engined eighties relic.

Time to hang up the Dinner Jacket and dust off those Hawaiian shirts...

I should never have sold it.

That's a gorgeous looking XI on your profile.

I went out for a blast in a Westfield XI a few months ago and very nearly bought one to build up as a track and hillclimb car.

It was a great drive, but just before I took the plunge I stumbled over an old Mini which just had to be bought...

That was at Prescott Last Year (God i need to cahnge that)

I'd rather have a mini also!!

The Lotus 11 club is my uncle's car but I use it for sprints quite often...it is actually a road car!! and went to Le Mans in 2005 for the 50yrs of Lotus celebration!!

I myself have a Lotus 7 S2 a Elan S4 drop top and a Lotus 18 FJ amongst other marques!!

thanks for the compliment

That is one beautiful Ferrari; that shape (308,328 & 288) has always been my favourite.

BTW, your garage looks a bit narrow in the picture...

I took that pic on the vendor's drive.

Fortunately I have a double garage, but it is currently full of Minis.

I need to have a bit of a clearout before the Ferrari arrives next week...

The "Magnum" Ferraris:

1979 308 GTS
1981 308 GTSi
1984 308 GTS QV
[/pedantmode]
Rumour has it that there were a few "stunt Ferraris that were kits as well.

That being said, Pat, your car looks great. I always liked the 328's better than the 308's anyway. The 308's noses always looked "droopy" to me for some reason...

A friend of mine has one just like it - same reg - tucked up in his garage. Just make sure you use it otherwise bits tend to sieze up on them. He had to replace his clutch as he did too few miles.

I think Pat is probably used to that as the Esprit carries similar "use it or lose it" properties...
