Right you 'orrible shower! I'm off to visit certain RAF stations later this week and will be billeted at the Holiday INAAFI near the parade ground...er, the Showground... on Thurs night.

Anyone near those co-ordinates want to hunker down in a bombhole and share a tin of bully beef, some Ersatzkaffee and a final Woodbine, before climbing out and marching v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y towards the enemy with bayonets fixed?

No? Didn't think so

How about an Indian and a beer instead then?

Get some in! (One for the oldies there...)

OK, here's the plan. I'm up here, P'boro is down there. En route I have to call into two RAF bases and do a good, oh, hour's work at each.
Last one is Cottesmore which can't be much more than an hour from the Showground (checks Autoroute: 40 mins) so even if I get out of Cotty by 5 I should be tarted up and raring to go by 6.30-ish... numpties on the A1 permitting.

We need a concensus: Indian or Chinese? Or summat else? Not that bloody Harvester though...

Well, there is

The Spice Inn - Indian on Park Road
Jennas Tandoori - Brooke Street - Behind the market
The Emperor - Chinese - Lincoln Road
The Bombay Brasserie - Indian - Broadway

All are quite good but for my money, Jennas is the best, followed by The Emperor.

Any other suggestions?
