Once again, attempting to use the wonderful online service means that I have been charged twice, seeing as the so called "Fast-Ticket" machines at Paddington had no recollection of my booking (nor did the First Great Western helpdesk) and now I have to wait 21 days for a response, let a alone a refund..... next time I'll take the car

I've not had a problem with the FastTicket machines and booking via TheTrainLine.
Another option (if practical) is to book a few more days in advance and get them to post you the tix.

Aha! So the trick is to sneak around the back and shove your credit card in a hidden slot?
