The sentiment behind it is fine nand right, but it doesn't give any detail and is too broad-brush, so I can't sign.

Same, agree with the general thoughts, but its more of a letter with a broad feeling rather than a petition against a focused problem.

Interesting first post on a car site.
Good observation, sir. Petition was a bit of a waste of bandwidth, IMHO.

iv been browsing this site for quite a while, been asked to post the link on any forums i visit so thats the reason iv posted, i really cant see why anyone would drop a comment like "a waste of bandwidth".

I can't really see what you hope to gain by it. It's too general as already said, too emotive, and the spiel just sounds like a bit of a rant. There's no way it would be taken seriously by anybody in a position of power - the "imagine if it were Prime Minister Blair's children" is sensationalist and not a little Daily Mail.

Sorry, I agree there is a problem that needs to be looked at but if you really want to change things more thought needs to go into it and it needs to be much more structured and better constructed.

See Paul's SafeSpeed site for the sort of thing IMHO, albeit on an altogether different subject. You need unbreakable logic and fact, not a hastily put together rant. Sorry.

(No disrespect intended, telling it as I see it)

its not really a petition for anything is it? i cant see anything they want to achieve.

i mean it could be valid if it said that they want a law that would give more punishment to people who did that sort of thing, but it doesnt really state anything like that.
