Rather sad that this website has temporally gone down due to trolling by members on pistonheads. Like to know petrolteds take on this situation?

There has already been a discussion on this topic which was locked by Ted earlier yesterday.

Without wishing to mention any other forum sites
in particular, maybe Ted could have a nice little
earner on his hands by licensing his SinBin™
technology - guaranteed to restrain even the most
obtuse forumite. Obviously, some local customisation
of the SinBin™ would be required - I understand that
in the local SinBin™ instance the only wheeled
vehicles allowed are bicycles - for some other
sites it may the appropriate change the policy
to only allow, say, large 4x4s and de-catted TVRs.

I don't believe that is the case. I've been in correspondance with people overnight which would suggest that someone who's actually very anti-PH (and has trolled on here several times in the past) actually stirred things up on C+ to the point where it got legal.

Whatever the cause, sites are used by individuals. If there's ever evidence of people conspiring to troll from PH then I'll put a stop to it but at the end of the day it's down to every forum to cope with trolls. We've had to deal with our fair share and I just get on and cope with it. There's little point in trying to pin blame on anyone but those that type the messages on their keyboards.

I believe in personal responsibility and anyone trolling on here is personally responsible for it - I don't care what other forums they frequent.

Oh yes WavyDavyGravy

I am not that surprised it got legal. Some of his rants against Paul Smith and SafeSpeed had to be seen to be believed.

Most of the PH's who went on there (following links posted here) just wanted to have a sensible debate on road safety.

I think you'll find it is quite serious- it's not like when we accuse Vixpy of shagging goats or some old bollox.

How dare you accuse Vixpy of shagging goats... Purple dildo's, yes but goats He has his reputation to think of don't you know

I think I read some of the posts if it's WDG vs SafeSpeed. I'll say no more if it's gone legal.

Goats all over the country are now taking professional legal advice - the suggestion
that any goat would consent to such an act is clearly Defamation under the terms
of the 1996 legislation.

Oh yes, old Wavey boy - the person who never ever uses anything that could have been powered by anything related to fossil fuels (yeah right, he obviously uses a computer with power).

Total twerp who couldn't listen to anyone giving him the other side of a story, very good case of my way or no way!!

Ah! Spindrift, he used to create havoc on the sod-u-ken website. Calling members goat shaggers and such. Definitely not interested in proper debate, just into upsetting and causing general bedlam. Mind you, we used to have some good wind-ups with him. One member actually convinced him that we had special software that made his posts invisible to the rest of the forum members. It's about time someone taught him a lesson!
