We have a house rabbit but we have a problem.....she keeps biting any wires she finds!
So far she's bitten through 3 out of 4 TV speaker wires, 2 phone chargers (1 was last night) and she's tried nibbling the cover off an electric heater (luckily not plugged in).

Any ideas about how we stop her biting wires?

Muzzle is not really an option, nor is filing her teeth!

Cooking at 190 degrees for 20 mins may solve your problem

Whack her in a stew?

Surely she should be kept in a hutch until she's fat enough to eat anyway?

Our's used to be like that before she ran off. She used to live outside but happily sit on the sofa and watch TV with us. She liked to play cricket and football as well! (she'd quite happily chase a tennis ball around the garden)

Not really cricket though is it?

Did you class her as a 'house rabbit' or a 'sport rabbit'?

She has a hutch in the conservatory but the door from the conservatory to the rest of the house is open during the day so she can come and go around the rest of the house. She's house trained (ish) and spends most of the day asleep under our bed.

does the sport rabbit come with bigger feet for better grip, and smaller ears to lessen the drag at high speeds?......or perhaps even a variable configuration tail, that raises and lowers automatically at different speeds!

I wonder if "Bitter Apple" used to keep dogs from chewing would work?

Check with a Vet first.

We have two house rabbits, one chews any wires he can, the other ignores them. We'd had to but a sheet of 6mm ply across the front of the tv/video to keep him out, but when the devil gets him, he jumps over the top, or gets the other one to pull the board out.

The options are either blank the wires away so the rabbit can't get at them, run them higher than he can reach, or stop the rabbit getting in the room.

But, as you say some rabbits like to watch tele. Our female rabbit always watches Elton John when he's on.

With a title of Rabbits and wires I thought this thread was going to be about how to set a snare.............now what was your problem?

Place three toasters on the floor, plug them all in..............rabbit will chew wires and contract mixingmytoasters. It'll never go near a wire again.

Getting my coat now.

Connect some tempting-looking cables to a variac, then gradually turn the voltage up until the rabbit decides that eating electricity isn't such a good idea after all. Like a non-lethal version of bimsb6's idea.
