Every other week, I hear that this cockweazle has been arrested.

It apparently sings in a band (Ever heard one of his songs?) and goes out with another habitual drug taker.

What is Pete Doherty ?

Why does it take up so much space in the news?

I really, really, really, really, really struggle to understand the deal that is - Pete Doherty.

Just another talented man who cant appear to draw any lines whatsoever.

Babyshambles were a great band, their performance at Glasto however was utterly cringeworthy.

Hes the new Mick Jagger - although personally I never liked Jagger's music either, Pete Doherty's music is rubbish IMO. Lots of people like it though.

To be fair though, Elton John freely admits that there are a good 15 years of his life he has absolutely no recollection of at all.

Yes but to be fair, Elton didn't keep getting arrested for drugs every week. At least he kept that side of his life relatively behind closed doors.

If we had the media power that we do now back when Elton John was hoofing chozza, drinking and fondling then would it have been any different?

I cant believe though that the front man of a not particularly big selling indie band sells papers...

Funny you should say that...

My Mum has always said that when he dies, the grim truth will come out.

Her rationale?

err... his lawyers.

Did anyone else see his "interview" with Kirsty Walk - was quite chortlesome in a sad kind of way.

Dunno but the interview he came up with the 15 years revalation he said that due to cocaine and alcohol there are 15 years he cant remember.

It was in relation to AIDS in the homosexual community and he was making the point that if he couldnt remember entire months then remembering his sexual partners was a non starter.

jees...that's scrpaing the barrel connection-wise! I'll see your 'son of his driver' and raise you 'my mu and he were in the same class all through school. Apparently he was the quietish one who got teased a bit, but not majorly and made practically zero impact she can recall!

Oh - and Pete Doherty is everything Nick P says.

funny world. In the past you had to become a world selling craze before you could become a drug addled lunatic/alcoholic for a few years. Nowadays it's fine if you've been no tv once or twice.

He's the current generation's equivalent of Keith Moon. When he was in The Libertines he was great, but drugs ruined a great songwriting partnership, he burgled his mate's flat to pay for dope (yes, he'd managed to spend his rock star's salary all on heroin), and he's been downhill ever since.

I wish he'd go into proper rehab so he can get his music back on track.

Well, I can't comment on whatever their output was prior to the F Forever single or the album, but those are utter rubbish. There are hints of talent in there, but they are diluted so thin by the drugs and the laziness that they might as well not be there.
