Its just a optimal configuration for L shaped buildings in a square area. I think we best inform the thought police, just in case

Believe me that was a long drawn-out process for nothing very exciting
It's a group of 4 L-shaped buildings which happen to look like a swastica (sp?) from above.

The swastika was known as a good luck symbol long before the nazis came along

Nope - same way. Still a bad idea as the bad connotations are relatively recent.

long drawn out process?? jeez - I'll be more hardy with the Print Screen button from now on then?

and I'm not a PC type either, I think it's quite amusing. Also, as of the good luck things - those buildings certainly don't look pre-nazi regime... It's probably just an amusing coincidence, that's all...

No, 'original' swastika was clockwise. The Nazi's reversed it so that it went anticlock.

There's also the 'Iron Cross' at Hendon, I think.

Can't post the photo here's the co-ords - 51°33'6.47"N 0°54'47.70"W

In the 1930 german lumberjacks planted a 60-by-60 meter Swastika made of Larches into a pine-forest near Zernikow 110 km northeast of Berlin. The Swastika was only visible in spring or autumn, when the larches changed their colour).

Until 1992 the swastika was forgotten, until hobby-pilots rediscovered it. The picture is from the 14th November, 2000 and was shown in German tabloids. Shortly afterward the German forestry ordered to fell 25 of the "anti-constitutional trees".

Just looked on a history site - there seems to be a mixture. Many of the really old ones went clockwise. The nazi swastika is clockwise too.

Henley-on-Thames, rather than Hendon. It's quite hard to spot from the air,
particularly at this time of year - you can't get high enough to get a
decent perspective without going toe-to-toe with a 747 and having your
license taken away...
