I don't think you are bothering. From what I can see your company is entirely deficient in females, gays and every other minority group.

1 in 10 are gay/lesbian in staffs police. Anyone know what the national figures are to put this in comparison? If it's 1 in 50 nationally then it's hardly fair representation is it?

I believe 1 in 10 is about accurate nationally, may be wrong though.

I can see the interview now

"Are you gay Mr. Interviewee?"
"No."
"I'm sorry then, we are only employing gays for this position, goodbye".

edit to add - here's a crazy idea, a world where your sexuality doesn't matter...

I could give a gnats ass whether the people I work with/employ are gay, black, or jedi knights - so long as they do the job properly.

Surely it doesn't matter unless you are one of these perverted bosses who prefer to shag their employees rather than getting them to work? In the end what happens outside of the workplace is only the concern of the person it is happening too.

GAHHHH and here I was thinking that I was over my anti today's world rant....

Excellent news, and I bet inspite of the policy you'll never come across a bent copper in Staffordshire
