I need a seagull ringtone for my phone, it's a motorola V3. Anybody know where I could get such a thing?

Doesn't matter whether it's a Herring gull or Great Black Backed Gull.

I've got crows but I want seagulls to annoy my mates. Where did you get the swans from?

You live in DOrset, can't you just potter down to the coast and record some?

Record onto what and how would I get it on my phone?

Plenty of gulls on my roof.

I would have thought that some twicher's web site would have a recording that you could save to your PC and then transfer to the V3 through the sync cable or bluetooth.

Yes, but I don,t seem to be able to get the right file format. It comes up on my phone as 'file corrupted'.

Here's a pagefull download what you want and use mobilephonetools to convert to V3 compatible form and upload.

The ringtones on my phone seem to be .mid files, would .wavs be compatible?

Thanks for that Einion Yrth, I'll have a look at that after work. Would I need to change file formats or will they be OK.

I'll try the tools on the accompanying disk.

V3 is very fussy about the bitrate of MP3s that it will play, but if you have the full motorola mobilephonetools app it will happily downconvert to the right format.

Has anyone ever tried putting bits of bread on fishing lines and throwing them in the air for the greedy bar stewards to swoop on? Once you've got one line in you can fly the seagull like a kite and then because they are so greedy they'll still go for a second one which is when the real fun begins because you get your very own stunt seagull which you can make do spins and all sorts

Yeas, but depending on the way you purchased the V3 you may have phonetools lite, which is crap. If so let me know which seagull sound you want and I'll convert it for you.
