The Missus and I gave her Dad an old Nokia 8310 for christmas with a new Orange sim card. Unfortunately we didn't realise that the phone is locked (presumably to the old network).

Does anybody know how to unlock it?

You need software, i dont think its a case of just pushing buttons. try your local phone shop, theyd probably do it for nowt.

Nah thats bollox, I had the same question a while back, all these websites do is ask the phone model, its serial no. ( they tell you how to get that, dead easy ) where in the world you are, what network it is locked to and then they give you 3-4 codes about 20 numbers long and thats it you punch them in ( until one works ) and it free to use on any network.

Done it with loads of phones now. piece of piss
