My brother did a sky dive while he was in Oz.
Worth it just for the video as he came down! Amazing views.

PS go to The Rocks market on Sunday or Saturday, and eat in the pancake restaurant in Metcalfe place..... mmmm pancakes......

i used to drink in the orient, and the mercantile. used to love the mercantile, great irish pub, that actually had a lot of irish in it! and great live music on a sunday afternoon.
i never ate there, but another pub not far from our digs ( the mean fiddler, massive pub!)used to do the same thing with steaks, and you'd cook them yourselves, and to this day i've never had such a nice steak!

Rather than Coogi Beach, get the ferry out to Manly, hit the beach then ease into a couple of cold beers on the Corso before getting the ferry back into town and the restraunts, bars, clubs down on King Street Wharf.
That sounds good. Went to Bondi last time...a bit of a dissapointment to be honest, heard that Manly is the beach of all beaches! Sounds like that's the first stop then!

I went to Manly when I was in Sydney , very nice beach and a scenic ferry ride from near the Opera House.

P155ing down in Sydney at the moment and due to continue into next week, temp not too bad mid to high 20's.
What to do in Sydney, take yer pick, how big are your pockets, the Blue Mountains are worth a look ( the 3 sisters ), there are some good driving roads, the Royal National Park from Loftus right down to Wollongong is a nice scenic coastal drive, road surface is a bit ordinary in places.
Olympic Park precinct is worth a visit I work there and would be up for a beer and a chat if it can be arranged.
When in Perth I'd recommend the Witches Cauldron at Subiaco for steak and garlic prawns, Indiana Tea House at Cottesloe for a great view and good seafood.
To make you feel home sick The Moon and Sixpence on the corner of Murray and William Sts in the city ( rocks big time )
Take a drive up the Swan Valley and visit the wineries, Swan Valley Winery, Talijancich, John Kosovich ( Westfield Winery ) and Feral Brewery, there are plenty more but these are the only ones I visit.
AQUWA ( sea world type aquarium ) at Hilliarys is also excellent, a day trip to Rottnest Island and Fremantle is also well worth the effort.
Note. don't feed any of the wild life in WA they don't expect it and will leave you in peace on Rottnest the Quokers ( a gentle terrier sized wallaby ) appreciate water, the tourists feed the gulls in NSW and QLD and they will send you crazy if you are eating.
