Seem to be very anti speed though.

Wouldn't even consider standing up for the morons on there though.

He's been done for drink-driving twice.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alastair_Stewart

This is utter bollox, being lectured on the "dangers" of speed by a convicted piss-head.

Anyone watch 'Road Wars' on Sky One? Usually on the weekends IIRC (Tivo records it for me).

Low budget, but quite entertaining stuff. 'Pat' is my favorate copper, no bullsh1t just in the back of the van my son

Forget the commentary....you could argue that
the standard of driving shown by lunatics captured
on plod-cam is worthy of nothing other than
trial-by-ordeal. If they survive, then no other
sanction is applied. The ordeal...six rounds in
the back of the head at short range.

I notice that they started with a statement about excessive speed being dangerous and then in the next, and subsequent sentances, it was just: ............speed

Typical nonsense........

The action is good though. It just needs Sherriff John Bunnel presenting

Alastair Stewart, the Murray Walker of Smug Road Lectures R Us TV.....

A few points....

As he forces an oncoming car off the road...

Errr, no, Alastair.....it moved into a passing place.

Dangerous driving.....

Errrr.....no other traffic in that clip, Alatair....if the target's driving dangerously, so is the plod car.

Drove straight through a Give Way sign at 60mph...

So did plod, Alastair, the main road went straight on, and any traffic on the main road was clearly visible way before the junction....

Officially, 1200 deaths are caused by speeding every year.....

Errr, no, Alastair....Officialdom has now conceded on that...errr.....error.

I'm driving along and talking into the camera...blabber, blabber, yakketty, blabber, yak.......

You are, indeed, Alastair, old boy....and not an eye on the mirror, or the road ahead, for that matter, for an awfully long time.....

Neeeeeeeiiiiiiiii

Ive picked him up a couple of times in my cab and to be fair on the 20 mile journey he came across as a decent bloke,i think thats his TV voice, mind you i did wince at the begining when he mentioned SPEED kills.
If i pick him up again i will remind him that overtaking on blind bends and hills and the obvious dangerous/bad driving is the killer ,after all you can have two cars travel at light speed towards each other on an A road and as long as they dont do any thing dangerous, its in good road conditions and they stay on their side of the road then they pose no threat to each other.
Bloody hell!!,wonder what he thinks of my driving
