I grew up in Barry, there used to be an island, but was joined to Barry itself when they built the docks.

I had the misfortune of visiting Barry last October. How to describe it, Blackpool run by a mixture of Brian Potters (Pheonix nights) and Pikies, without the sights or rides. Rather than the donkey derby, it's turd racing along the surf. Do not cross the bridge onto the island, without tetanus, polio, yellow fever jabs.

You can't be antisocial in Barry island, it is the definition of antisocial.

The car parks are not becoming a no-go area, Barry is a no go area.

Didn't like it much, as I remember....

Looked deserted pretty much and boderline derelict when I "visited" on the way back from further along the coast October time 2004...

Shocking place, will never go back - the actual island bit that is I'm sure the rest is just like any other town.

So hopefully I can get flashed by a speed cam 3 times before I actually get a ticket, then? Thought not
