Vodafone voice message system is *******

What is going on?

Phone calls me and says 'this is the Vodafone voice mess........call 121 for message'
Call 121 and stupid system says 'you have NO messages'....
I KNOW it has a message 'cos I called my self to check the message system (and I have no friends but thats another story). This is PAYT but it should still work shirley?

I also like you you're not allowed to delete a voicemail within the first three seconds of playback.

Why on earth implement such a requirement??

The thing that gets me is most other mobile providers set it so the phone displays an icon when you have a voicemail. Chodafone either phone you to tell you or send you a text if you set it on the options. Why cant they just set it to use the icon? its not like the phone doesnt support it!

Not only is their system cr*p, it's also unreliable.

I've nearly had several disciplinaries from work for not responding to voicemail messages, only to discover that the first I know of a message is 48hrs after it was left.

Bring back Orange Voicemail, little symbol in the screen worked perfectly.

Has been known to have some severely delayed issues also (with my phones anyhow!)...

You can, mine displays an icon ...

Goto www.vodafone.net, (free sign up) and follow instructions.
Instead of dialing 121, you change to 242.

I started getting texts to tell me that I had missed calls about a year ago. A great feature, but for some reason my voicemail had been turned off. I have tried to reactivate it a couple of times but it refuses to reactivate. Not only that, if I reject a call from the phone it now hangs up rather than redirecting to voicemail. Not ideal if I am in a lecture and expecting a call from a potential employer!
