he says "hi, i'm barry scott" like we should know who he is!

My wife has just seen that ad! She thought it was a piss-take, totally unaware of this life-changing product (Possibly due to the fact that she never cleans the bathroom for fear of damaging her finely manicured nails ).

i feel i can sleep easy now that my insatiable curiosity regarding barry scott has been sated.

i truley thought i was missing out on something big, and felt guilty that i didn't know who he was, but i can sleep easy now.

Surely if that's the case then it breaks all sorts of advertising rules? I mean' we all know that actors appear in adverts, but they usually don't claim to be someone they're not, do they?

As long as he isn't impersonating someone, all is fine. Its seen as an acting role like the "bev" "kev" advert, very doubtful that the actor and actress in that are really called those names.
