Hi

I am thinking of taking my Husky camping in the Alps in the summer, but to do this I need to get him a pet passport.

Anyone know the time and price involved in doing this??

Thanks Sean

There are certain rules to do with pet passports that mean you'll have to move on this quite quickly. Assuming it's not a pup then it'll need a period of regular testing and observation before issue - immunisations and then checks and a test for rabies. It's not too pricey but also involves the cost of having the pooch chipped (a good idea anyway imo).

We're trying to bring in three cats from abroad that belong to my girlfriend's Grandmother.

It's costing a fortune to get it all sorted but not anywhere near as much as quarantine would.

The timescale is the most awkward thing and the amount of time we can be abroad to get it all sorted.

Here has all the info you need

We've got our cats chipped. It's not the cost that's going to be an issue for you it'll be the timescale. Your dog will have to have a blood test that is sent to Brussels for analysis. You will not be allowed to take it out of the country for 6 months after they receive the blood.
We had the same problem and it basically delayed our move back to the UK for 6 months
